&lt;p&gt;These functions are implemented as macros.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Only one set of extra chain certificates can be specified per SSL_CTX structure. For more flexibility functions such as SSL_add1_chain_cert() should be used instead.&lt;/p&gt;
